How many passengers and items can I bring on board?
Passengers are required to book the right service based on passenger capacity for safety and compliance with LTA regulations. Please refer to the table below for the maximum passenger capacity for each service:
If you have luggage or bulky items
You’re recommended to store your luggage or bulky items in the car boot. However, if your belongings cannot fit into the space, you can ask your driver if you can use the passenger seat(s) instead. Please ensure that it does not block the driver’s view, as passenger and driver safety is a top priority for Ryde. Do note that doing so will reduce the number of passengers allowed to ride in the vehicle as well. However, your driver may decline your request to put your items on the passenger seat(s). He or she also has the right to cancel your booking if your belongings have the potential to cause damage or messiness to the vehicle.
*The recommended maximum capacity acts as a guideline for the amount of space available for each service type. The size of a large luggage is estimated to be 27 inches. Kindly book the correct service types based on the number of passengers & pieces of luggage. If you have more luggage than stated, consider booking two rides.
