Riders may be charged a cleaning fee of up to $140 if a mess is made in the vehicle that requires professional cleaning, such as vomiting or permanent or semi-permanent stains.
Drivers are required to take clear photos of the mess as proof, ideally immediately after the trip ends.
After the vehicle has been professionally cleaned, the driver will provide the rider with a cleaning receipt.
Riders must communicate with the driver and complete payment within 2 working days of receiving the receipt, using an agreed payment method (e.g. PayNow, PayLah!, or inter-bank transfer).
If payment is not completed within 2 working days of receipt being provided, the driver may submit the cleaning receipt to Ryde. Ryde will then attempt to contact the rider directly. Until payment is recovered, the rider will be suspended from booking any further Ryde trips.
Please note that Ryde does not cover cleaning costs. This is a private arrangement between the rider and the driver.
